How we integrate Algolia with Shopify
Algolia's official Shopify app syncs the product catalogue to an Algolia index in real time. Ecom Majesty goes beyond the default setup: configuring the index schema (searchable attributes, facets, ranking rules), building or customising the InstantSearch frontend component to match the store's theme, and wiring Shopify's product and collection webhooks to keep the index current on inventory and price changes. For headless storefronts the Algolia API is called directly from the frontend; for standard Shopify themes the integration is delivered via the Algolia app combined with custom JavaScript loaded in the theme.
