What Cloudflare is

Cloudflare is a global edge network providing CDN, DDoS protection, a Web Application Firewall (WAF), bot management, and edge compute (Workers and Pages) — used alongside Shopify to accelerate storefront delivery, harden security, and host serverless edge logic.

How we integrate Cloudflare with Shopify

Cloudflare sits in front of the Shopify storefront at the DNS layer: Ecom Majesty configures Cloudflare's authoritative DNS, proxy mode, and caching rules so static storefront assets are served from Cloudflare's edge rather than Shopify's origin. WAF rules and bot management are tuned to block credential-stuffing and scraping attempts without affecting legitimate checkout flows (Shopify's checkout domain bypasses Cloudflare's proxy by default and requires careful DNS routing). For headless storefronts, Cloudflare Pages hosts the frontend and Cloudflare Workers handle edge middleware (geo-redirects, A/B routing, personalisation headers) without a server. Cloudflare's real-time analytics provide a security and performance observability layer alongside Shopify's built-in analytics.

What the work involves

  • Authoritative DNS, proxy mode and caching rules configured so static storefront assets serve from Cloudflare's edge.
  • WAF and bot management tuned to block credential-stuffing and scraping without disrupting checkout, which bypasses the proxy by design.
  • For headless, Cloudflare Pages hosting the frontend and Workers handling edge middleware — geo-redirects, A/B routing, personalisation headers.

Can Ecom Majesty deliver it?

Yes — Cloudflare is within our Shopify engineering scope; we scope the exact integration against your stack.
