How we integrate Intercom with Shopify
Intercom connects to Shopify via its official App Store app, which imports customer and order data into Intercom's contact records and keeps them updated on order status changes. Ecom Majesty's implementation work focuses on the layer above the basic data sync: configuring conversation routing rules, building automated resolution flows for common support intents (order tracking, returns, shipping queries), setting up product tours or onboarding sequences where relevant, and ensuring the Intercom messenger is loaded correctly inside both standard Liquid themes and headless frontends. Ecom Majesty also handles GDPR consent configuration so the messenger only initialises after appropriate user consent is recorded.
