What Sentry is

Sentry is an open-source application monitoring and error tracking platform that captures exceptions, performance regressions, and user-session context in real time. For Shopify storefronts — particularly headless or custom app builds — it provides the observability layer that surfaces code-level issues before they accumulate into lost revenue.

How we integrate Sentry with Shopify

For custom Shopify front-ends and apps, Ecom Majesty installs the Sentry SDK into the JavaScript or Node.js codebase, configuring source map uploads so that production stack traces resolve back to readable source code. Error boundaries are instrumented on key user-facing flows (cart, checkout, search), performance transactions are defined for critical routes, and alert routing is configured to notify the relevant Slack channel or on-call workflow. For theme-based builds, Sentry is wired into any custom JavaScript layer that warrants monitoring.

What the work involves
