Vercel Speed Insights is a real-user monitoring tool built into the Vercel platform that tracks Core Web Vitals — LCP, FID/INP, and CLS — from actual visitor sessions, providing per-page performance scores and regression alerts without requiring a separate analytics service.
How we integrate Vercel Speed Insights with Shopify
On headless Shopify projects deployed to Vercel, Ecom Majesty enables Speed Insights by adding the `@vercel/speed-insights` package to the frontend build and calling its `injectSpeedInsights` function (or the framework-specific component) during app initialisation. Because the tool is native to Vercel's deployment infrastructure, no additional API keys or third-party scripts are required — data flows automatically into the Vercel dashboard against the deployed project. Ecom Majesty uses the per-page breakdown to diagnose which routes have the weakest Core Web Vitals scores and prioritises fixes — image lazy-loading, font strategy, layout shift sources — as part of post-launch CRO and performance optimisation work.
