Online Commerce

A storefront that turns relevant traffic into orders.

Online Commerce is the storefront discipline: making each visit relevant, fast, and easy to buy from. Where Seamless Commerce is the whole-business outcome across every channel, this is the narrower job of the digital storefront itself — turning traffic into orders by adapting content and offers to the shopper’s context, taking friction out of discovery and checkout, and holding the experience steady across markets.

The work runs along three connected fronts. Dynamic content is recommendations, segmented promotions, early access, recently-viewed, and size guidance that adapt to the shopper instead of showing everyone the same page. International expansion and localisation is selling into multiple countries, currencies, and languages from one storefront, which on Shopify means Markets. And unified systems and data flow is the back-office plumbing — PIM, CRM, CDP, inventory — connected so the storefront shows accurate, enriched, real-time data rather than stale guesses.

The honest starting point is that Shopify ships more conversion primitives than most teams switch on. Product recommendations, customer segments, and search merchandising are native; we configure what is already there before reaching for an app or writing custom code. From that foundation, CRO and UX discipline is applied across the result — and a lift in conversion is the expected outcome of doing that work well, not a number we promise in advance. We set a baseline once it is live and measure what actually moves.

Definition

Online Commerce is the storefront discipline: building high-performance Shopify stores that make each visit relevant, frictionless, and easy to buy from. Dynamic content, segmented promotions, search merchandising, and international expansion — configured natively where Shopify already ships the primitive, built or integrated where it does not — with CRO and UX applied across the result.

How we deliver it

  1. 01

    Diagnose the funnel

We read session behaviour and funnel data to name the real constraint — discovery friction, PDP clarity, checkout leakage, or a mismatch between the offer and the audience — before touching any code.

  2. 02

    Configure the native layer

Shopify's product recommendations, segmented discounts, search filters, and merchandising boosts are configured first. A large part of "dynamic content" is already shipped natively; we reach for an app or custom build only where the platform genuinely runs out.

  3. 03

    Build and integrate

Recently-viewed, size guides, and richer upsell flows are built into the theme or integrated via a proven app. Back-office systems — PIM, CRM, CDP — are connected by Apps & integrations so the storefront shows accurate, enriched data in real time.

  4. 04

    Measure and compound

Conversion work is measurable, so we establish a baseline and track what moves. International expansion runs on Shopify Markets — per-market currency, pricing, availability, and translations from one admin, with Plus for the full automatic-detection scope.

Questions, answered

Do I need an app for product recommendations?

Usually not for the core feature. Shopify generates related recommendations natively and lets us curate complementary products in the free Search & Discovery app. We reach for a paid recommendation app only when you want AI personalisation or post-purchase upsell beyond what the native API does.

Can you target a promotion at just our VIPs or first-time buyers?

Yes, natively. We define the customer segment and attach the discount to it, so the right offer reaches the right group without a bolt-on tool.

Are recently-viewed and a size guide built in?

No — Shopify has no native object for either. We build recently-viewed into your theme so it carries no per-order app fee, and add a metafield-driven size-guide block; a dedicated app is reserved for AI fit-recommendation or returns-reduction scope where it clearly earns its place.

Will this actually raise our conversion rate?

We frame higher conversion and AOV as the expected outcome of relevant content, frictionless discovery, and our CRO and UX work — not as a number we have already measured for you. We measure it with you once it is live.
